To summarise this company in one word: abhorrent.Simply disgusting the entire way through. I absolutely regret choosing this company to build my first home with.After months on end of difficulties, I have moved in to my new home (3 months in), only to have the walls literally leaking because of their sub-standard plumbing. I have been complaining of leaking for months, issue remains unresolved. See these awful water stains - which now puts me at risk of mould in my home. Horrible company. I genuinely recommend save your money and go elsewhere. Awful awful. Similarly, they will continue to ghost your emails worse than some lad on tinder. At least he would say sorry. Still yet to hear any apology or acceptance of their mistakes to date.

From the moment we signed we have faced major delays. Our land was titled October 2021 and now (march 2023) we are only sitting at plate height and this was only achieved by nominating our own brickie and paying $5k extra on top of our contract. Some staff have been great but they are working behind terrible management and cant achieve any positive outcomes for the thousands of clients that have been left with unfinished homes. Do yourself a favour, choose another builder and don’t be faced with the emotion, financial and time wasting burden that BGC delivers to its unsuspecting clients!

There was quite a significant water leak on my property last year. As the pipes were still under a new build warranty, it was fixed at no cost to myself. However they didn’t send a plumber out until the next morning so a $400 excess water bill accumulated overnight. The plumbers put in a leak allowance with Water Corp but I had to chase it up with them for the allowance to be taken off. I have been left with an excess water bill of $150 that bgc have told me I have to foot. I think it is completely unfair as the pipes were under warranty and the leak allowed to run until morning before being fixed. After many an email back and forth with bgc over a few months I have been told they will not pay it. Disgusted is an understatement!

BGC Housing have ruined our lives and continue to do so.Undoubtedly the worst decision I have ever made choosing BGC (Smart Homes) to build my house!The worst first home building experience my partner and I could have ever imagined. After 2 years we don't even have roof cover! No completion in sight and absolutely zero clarity on when the build will be completed!Do yourself a favour and don't build anything with BGC Housing Group. They will make your life a living hell.

The most unreliable company I’ve dealt with. Slowest production time I’ve seen. Do not provide any updates until you ask even when advised they will contact you. I watch all the other houses on our street being close to finishing even though we all had our slabs down the same time some even after ours was done. Would not recommend ever

The key to assessing a business is to measure its response when there’s a problem. BCG group uses a form of poly pipe for water services within your house, joins are formed with a special copper joiner. We’ve had 2 of these joiners fail, both causing extensive water damage. The first you wear the cost through your insurance, simpler than going through a warranty claim. The second is a sign of a systemic issue. However BGC say that water pipes are not covered in the structural warranty and use a semantic that it’s a plumbing issue, as if they are not a core part of your home’s construction.So beware, the water pipe products BGC use are not fit for purpose. When they fail it is expensive to rectify.

Don't touch BGC with a 10 foot barge pole... Smart Homes, Aussie living, Terrace, Now Living... they over committed in 2020 and signed too many contracts, even though they told everyone they had the capacity.Now they don't have enough trades, but that's only because they don't pay the going rates for them.If you're leaving a review don't forgot to go to the individual company google reviews too. They are full of fake or staff reviews.I have no roof after 2 and a half years of the process. Can you imagine how much extra rent, mortgage, moving from rental to rental and storage costs I've had to pay?Please don't believe the sales consultant lies. Your home will not be complete in the timeframe they are saying. Check the photo out... the timber got delivered in July 2022. It's now February 2023 and still no roof.Every other house in the street was completed last year. This is a BGC management problem. Not a trade or material shortage. Incompetent .
